Out of curiosity have you guys started dorking with BC rogue builds yet?

I'm so amazed by the BC Subtelty tree I can't get myself out of it

Works on the assumption that Mutilate requires a dagger for the MH only, so putting something like a MSA in the offhand would be ideal. Also assumes that many talents are not changing to represent new abilities. For example, opportunity works with BS but not Mut, imp evisc doesn't say anything about disembowl.

Interesting effect: If you take Suprise Attacks you will LOSE dps. If talents and game mechanics stay the way they are then most PVE sword builds are going to be similar to this: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent-bc=fhecoxboiZGoVbbVzxrz

Why does suprise attack lower dps? Because of the 1 roll system. Basically, if you take dodge out of the table the dodge becomes a normal hit, its impossible for it to crit. Yeah I know its sounds retarded but unfortunately you are better off spending the 11 energy on a missed backstab than guranteeing roughly 5% of your backstabs won't crit. It lowers sinister strike dps too but only by very little.

The math has been done several times over, even simulated by custom written programs. Summary: Suprise attacks is a very crappy 41 point talent for PVE. And seeing as how most of the new combat talents are pvp oriented, its hard to justify going farther than AR if you aren't concerned with pvp.

Open with ambush, SS SS Evis dead. Now you have remorseless which gives you a base 85% crit on your next ambush and camo to help you restealh fast enough to use it. I burned through green mobs like butter with some good slow weapons.
