Happy New Years!

January 1, 2010 Category: News0 Comments

And just for the hell of it here’s a couple new screen shots. I particuarly like the one of me spiked. That round didn’t go so well but we got him on the next attempt. I say “him” but I guess it’s more of an it. I mean there are no boobs, no penis, kind of rules it being either a chic or a dude… Anyway, we killed it.

And just because its cool – A giant train.

Random Dead Dudes

December 3, 2009 Category: News0 Comments

I’m horribly bad about taking screen-shots of dead bosses but I did manage to grab a few so I thought I’d toss them on the front page. Plus it’s been a long ass time since I’ve tossed something on the front page.

It’s way too much info to post here but I will say about goddamn time that they show Mages some love. Now lets just see how much love it really amounts to.

How did I miss this!?

The Brood Mother Returns

She has lurked in her lair and done battle with the many brave adventurers who travelled to that familiar location over the years. Now, in honor of the World of Warcraft 5-year anniversary, the dreaded brood mother Onyxia is being revamped to make a return to the forefront of Azeroth, as part of our big plans for the upcoming 3.2.2 content patch.
Onyxia
This permanent update to Onyxia will convert the dungeon into a normal 10-player mode and a Heroic 25-player model. We will be adding new items to Onyxia’s loot table that have the same model as some of the classic loot from this dungeon, like Tier 2 helms, with stats updated to match the current level of content. There will be a special new item too: a normal drake-sized 310% speed flying mount modeled after Onyxia herself called an Onyxia Broodling. We will also be updating the encounter mechanics to be more fitting for modern raiding, but we can guarantee players will get to experience the frightening horror of deep breaths once again.

Then for a limited time, after the 5-year anniversary event officially begins in November, anybody who logs in will receive an Onyxia Brood Whelpling pet.

We’re very excited to bring this classic encounter back to provide a fun new experience for both new and veteran players. Further details will be available in the near future, and we will be setting up the Public Test Realms soon to help test out this fight along with all the new content we have planned for the patch. Keep an eye on the forums for updates!

What’s this craziness you speak of?!

July 25, 2009 Category: News0 Comments

A couple of people have asked me why we’re resurrecting OD and if it means we’re going to start raiding like crazy again. I think the answer to the first part is now that WoW is almost 5 years old and the shine has all but rubbed off it reminded us of how much fun we had with this game and more importantly what made it fun. And what made it fun was in short the people. As to the second part of that question the answer is a resounding “No” which isn’t to say we don’t want to raid at all. We just have no intention of going back to mandatory raid nights, DKP systems or loot councils. If we have 10 people we’ll hit Naxx. If we have 10 well geared people we’ll hit Uld and if we have 25 people, well, the sky’s the limit.

But mostly we just wanted to see where everyone is at, what you’re up to, maybe get some chatter going on forums and resurrect not necessarily OD but what made the game fun.
